At AAA Banking, we know that getting your money sooner gives you more flexibility. That’s why we offer Fast Pay, a new feature that allows AAA members to access their payroll direct deposits up to two business days early.¹
What is Fast Pay?
Fast Pay is a feature that speeds up your access to your earnings. Instead of waiting for the traditional payday, we make those funds available to you as soon as we receive the notification from your employer—often up to two business days before your scheduled pay date.
How to Set Up Fast Pay
Getting your pay early is designed to be effortless, so we’ve built Fast Pay directly into your account experience. There is no separate signup or action required to enroll. You are automatically enrolled if:
- You have a Triple Advantage Checking or Savings account.
- Your account has been open for at least 30 calendar days.
- You receive an Eligible Direct Deposit² into your account.
While enrollment in Fast Pay is automatic, you’ll just need to ensure your qualifying direct deposit is headed to the right place. To get started, route your paycheck to your AAA Banking account using one of these three easy methods:
- Online Banking: Log in, select Direct Deposit in the Tools menu to securely link your payroll provider.
- Triple Advantage Banking App: Log in, tap More, then Direct Deposit to link your provider digitally or generate and download a pre-filled direct deposit form.
- Manual Setup: Log in to your employer’s payroll portal and add a new bank account using your AAA Banking account and routing number.
Once linked, you’ll automatically get your money up to two business days early for free. For more information, refer to Setting Up Direct Deposit.
Eligible Direct Deposits
For a deposit to be eligible for Fast Pay, it must be a recurring ACH credit of $10,000 or less. This is typical of funds "pushed" to your account by an organization on a set schedule. The most common examples include:
- Your regular wages or salary.
- Deposits from services like ADP, Gusto, or Paychex.
Ineligible Direct Deposits
It is important to know which funds will not arrive early so you can plan your budget accurately. The following do not qualify for Fast Pay:
- Any single deposit exceeding $10,000.
- Physical check deposits or ATM deposits.
- Government or public benefits like Social Security and unemployment.
- Standard ACH transfers from external bank accounts or wire transfers.
- Peer-to-Peer (P2P) transfers from apps like Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or Wise.
- Deposits from payment processors like Stripe, Square, or Shopify.
- IRS tax refunds or one-time bonuses.
- Pensions.
Timing & Delays
While we aim to process all eligible direct deposits as soon as we see them, there are a few reasons why your funds might not arrive two days early:
- Payroll Provider Timing: AAA Banking can only release your funds early if your employer or payroll provider transmits their payroll files ahead of schedule. If they do not send these files early, your deposit will arrive on your standard payday.
- Account Age: Your Triple Advantage Checking or Savings account must be open for at least 30 calendar days before you are eligible for Fast Pay.
- Deposit Eligibility: Double-check that the deposit was a recurring payroll ACH under $10,000. One-time transfers, government benefits, or any other transaction listed in the section above do not qualify for early release.
If you believe your deposit meets all requirements but you haven't received your pay early, we recommend contacting your employer’s payroll department to ask when they send their ACH files. AAA Banking does not have control over how or when your employer’s provider processes and submits your paycheck files.
Note: Because the timing depends on your employer's specific process, your early pay date may occasionally vary by a day from one pay cycle to the next.

¹ Fast Pay depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. AAA Banking generally makes these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date. AAA Banking shall, in its sole discretion, assess account activity to determine eligibility and may request additional documentation for verification.
² To qualify for Fast Pay, you must have a Triple Advantage Checking or Savings account with an Eligible Direct Deposit, and your account has to be open for at least 30 calendar days. An Eligible Direct Deposit is defined as a recurring ACH deposit of $10,000 or less of regular income, such as payroll made by your employer or a payroll/benefits provider.
