Designed with flexibility and security in mind, Card Management gives Triple Advantage Checking account holders the ability to create and manage both virtual and physical debit cards through online or mobile banking. Each account holder can independently manage their own cards, providing greater control over spending and enhanced peace of mind, but cannot create or manage cards for a joint account holder.
Cards Dashboard
To view a list of all virtual and physical debit cards:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
All virtual and physical debit cards that have been created will display the following:
- Cardholder name
- Last 4 digits of the card number
- Card nickname
- Type (physical or virtual)
- Status (locked or unlocked)
- Last 4 digits of the account number
To view the full card details, including the card number, 3-digit security code (CVV), and card limits, select the card.
Activate a Physical Card
To activate the physical debit card associated with your Triple Advantage Checking account:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Select the card you wish to activate or click Get Started within the "Activate Card" widget.
- Enter the full card number and 3-digit security code
- Select Continue
- Create a 4-digit PIN number
- Select Activate Card
A success message will appear confirming the card is activated.
Note: Once your Triple Advantage Checking Account is approved and opened, your new AAA Banking debit card should be delivered to the mailing address submitted on your application within 14 days. As you wait for your debit card to arrive, we encourage you to take advantage of our virtual, instant-issue debit cards.
Create a Virtual Card
To create a virtual debit card:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Select Add Card
- Select the linked account, assigned user, and enter a card nickname in the popup window
- Click Create
The virtual card should appear in the dashboard view, allowing you to view the card details or make changes.
Note: Your account must be open for at least 4 days before you can create a virtual debit card. You may create up to 3 virtual cards per day and a maximum of 10 per month. At any given time, you can have up to 5 active virtual cards.
Change a PIN
To change your debit card Personal Identification Number (PIN):
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Select the card for which you'd like to change the PIN
- Select the edit icon next to PIN in the settings
- Create a 4-digit PIN number
- Select Change Pin
A success message will appear confirming the PIN is changed.
Note: There are currently no restrictions on how often or how many times a user can change a PIN.
Lock/Unlock a Card
To lock or unlock any virtual or physical debit card:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Select a card for which you'd like to lock or unlock
- Select the toggle to Lock Card or Unlock Card.
The card will immediately be updated based on your selection.
Note: Locking the card will cause any transaction to automatically decline.
Change Transaction Limits/Spend Categories
To set or modify transaction limits and/or spend categories, as needed:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Review the card's transaction limits and spend categories
- Select the edit icon in the settings section
- Establish/change the transaction limit
- Choose the "Allowed Spending Areas"
Note: By default, the following limits apply: transactions with and without a PIN are limited to $2,000 per day, and cash withdrawals are limited to $1,000 per day.
Filter Through Cards
To sort or filter through your list of physical and virtual debit cards, as needed:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Click Filter and Sort
- Filter: Filter through the list of virtual cards by desired attributes. Only cards with the selected attributes will be displayed.
- Sort: Sort and change the display order of the cards. All cards will be displayed.
Delete Card
To delete any virtual or physical card, as needed:
- Login to online banking
- Select the Tools tab in the main navigation bar at the top
- Select Card Management in the dropdown menu
- Select the card for which you'd like to delete
- Select Delete Card
The card will immediately be deleted.
Note: Physical debit cards can not be deleted.
